9 months

On the 7th my Mikey turned 9 months!!!
This is going way too fast!
He is crawling, pulling himself up, climbs things (me), walks with assistance and keeps babbling and screaming!
We took him to see his pedi a little earlier and he turned out to be a little anemic. I had to plan out a menu for him that includes a little more iron. I'm still breastfeeding him. He weights 18.7 lbs and he is 27 in tall. He fell to the 20th and 25th percentile but the doc said he was a happy and healthy baby!
I just can't have enough of this little man!

Oh How Fun

December is here!! I have never been so excited about the holidays before. This year is my little man's first Christmas Season and I want to enjoy it to the fullest. Only negative thing is that it is like 80 degrees hot!!

I haven't posted anything for a while and just a little update...Mikey is almost 9 months old, he is crawling, pulling up, walking with assistance, sleeping on his own, and just being a happy baby.

Right after Thanksgiving I was really anxious to start decorating and putting up the Christmas tree. For the first time we went shopping on Black Friday!!! Ha but it was not madness as me and my husband were expecting, at 8 am we were actually late! We found some good deals at Target, Walmart and Sam's.

Here is Mikey's outfit for Thanksgiving day

And here are some of my decorations and of course my Christmas Tree

I procrastinated on booking a photographer to take holiday pictures so I had to do it myself and last minute!!

He looks adorable anyway! Outfit by Carters
And this is the perfect first picture with Santa

Ok maybe not...Outfit by Gymboree
We had our first Christmas party today. Pictures and details soon...

Happy first of December!!

Before being a mom

Really that easy??
Honestly I really wish some of my days were like that. But there is always something to do. I bet my mother in law thinks I lay around all day! Yeah right! A mother and a wife never, ever gets a break. Unless of course you have a maid and a nanny...pff lucky.

Before being a mom I was always busy. From school, sorority, having 2 full time jobs, internship, professional organization, friends, family, and boyfriend. There was no break for me at all, but I really enjoyed being busy all the time. My mom used to make fun of me when she would see me because I was hardly at home.

My last job before getting pregnant was so demanding. I would go from meeting to meeting, event to event. My boss would call me, text me, email me 24/7. It was my last semester in college and I had very demanding  classes as well. Business majors get to do A LOT of team work so pretty much I had to deal with a lot of people from different groups. My agenda was full of activities I had to fulfill.

OHH how things have changed.

It went from late nights of studying and/or working to late nights of feedings and/or trying to put my baby to sleep. (At least for the past 4 moths, Mikey has been able to sleep the entire night).
Now I have to worry about making breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Washing dishes, clothes, baby clothes, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming, folding clothes. Plus, feed the baby, change the baby, put the baby for a nap, bathe the baby, taking the baby to fun playdates, the doctor etc. Paying bills, go grocery shopping and run other errands. Pick after my husband...

It seems that my roll as a full time mom and wife is so more demanding than any of my activities I used to have in the past!! Of course, at least this "job" is rewarding because I get this every day :)

Meet Michael Ian

This is my first post and I'm so excited to finally be able to write about my little handsome boy.
Michael Ian was born almost 7 months ago and the time has truly gone by so fast.

Here is a picture when he was born. You probably can't tell but he was a little under 5 lbs. He was born at 36 weeks. It was a very easy but surprising delivery. Mikey, as we call him, was born March 7, 2012.

Ever since, he has changed my life completely. He really means the world to me and I really wouldn't have it any other way. I don't consider myself a perfect mom but I learn something new every day. I enjoy being a stay at home mom for now, and I'm so lucky I was able to choose my son over my career.

I really believe a blog is the best thing you can do as a mom to record memories of  your baby. It is truly an adventure being a mom, and with Mikey I never know what to expect.
Here is Mikey at 6 months :)
